New circular building composite material to upcycle building wastes

Abstract A new class of sustainable building composite materials is developed, made out recycled fibers waste, sand from crushing inert waste and lime. The come abundant available bio-based or mineral such as cellulose, glass wool, rock wool. comes used instead river which a resource under shortage. Lime is, like the other two constituents, locally. targeted performance minimizing environmental footprint compared to current on market in terms CO2 emissions grey energy consumption over entire life cycle. Additional specific objectives are lifetime up 60 years, incorporation at least 75% end-of-cycle high potential further reuse recycling. These performances must be optimized all structural, thermal durability constraints applications. test campaign has proved energy-efficient nature processing excellent insulation, fire resistance mechanical strength, for containing rate paper larger than 50%.
